- Master’s Degree Required- You must hold an earned master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. If you have no prior business degree, you may need to complete a foundation course (MGT 502) before doctoral coursework begins.

- Academic Standing- You must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 throughout the program. At least 21 of your 60 credit hours must be completed in residence at Walsh College.
- Technology Readiness- The program runs online and via Zoom. You need reliable internet and the ability to use Walsh’s Moodle learning platform. A free mandatory Moodle orientation must be completed before your first course.
- Time Commitment- All coursework, the Preliminary Exam, the Proposal Defense, and the Dissertation must be finished within 84 calendar months (7 years) of your start date.
- Preliminary Exam- After completing the core Research and Methods courses, you must pass a Preliminary Exam within two semesters of finishing RES 714. Passing it is required before you can start the dissertation phase.
