IGNOU PhD Anthropology Programs Duration & Eligibility

Masters in Anthropology- M.Sc. (Anthropology) or M.A. (Anthropology)- from a UGC-recognized university or equivalent institution. This is a specific eligibility requirement unique to PHDAN.
Minimum aggregate of 55% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale) in the qualifying postgraduate degree.
Relaxation of 5% marks (i.e., 50% aggregate) for SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / Differently-Abled / EWS candidates.
A valid UGC-NET score in Anthropology (or Social Sciences) is required for Categories I, II, and III. Category IV candidates can appear for IGNOU’s University-level Entrance Test.
